In an effort to improve consistency and accuracy in the NNEREN database, the NNEREN BOD has directed that the list of towns incorporated into InnoVia follow the VT and NH state lists of recognized towns. Allowing only these towns in InnoVia will resolve several issues, including preventing the “overlap” which occurs when both legitimate towns and unrecognized municipalities coexist. As a result of this issue, listing agents have often felt compelled to list a single property in multiple overlapping locations so that potential buyers searching either location would find the listing.
Therefore, the following locations are being removed from available towns in InnoVia:
NH: Contoocook, Eastman, North Conway, Seabrook Beach, Suncook
VT: Bellows Falls, Ascutney, Brownsville, Gilman, Perkinsville, Quechee, St. Albans, Rutland, Newport, Newport Ctr.
This process should be completed soon. Note that each of the removed town names has been added to the searchable “Village/District” dropdown, and listings which have been mapped from a removed town to a current town will have the removed town name added to the “Village/District” field.
